Title:Human Resources Director, China
Location:Shanghai or Beijing, China with Extensive travel during the week
Report to:President, AGC Automotive China
Purpose:Upgrade Human Resources (Policies, Systems, Associates) to support the rapid growth of operations in China
Principal Accountabilities:
1.Responsible for all HR and Compliance related activities in China operations,including main locations in Beijing,Qinhuangdao,Foshan as well as smaller operations in Tianjin,Wuhan,Shanghai,Changchun,Shenyang,Chongqing, and Chengdu; across 3 leal entities .
2.Lead the development and implementation of unified organization of AGC Automotive in China3.
3.Create and/or upgrade harmonized HR policies and Systems in AGC Automotive China, including but not limited to labor contract policy, compensation & benefits system (based on Job Grading System), MBO & appraisal system, and training system.
4.Effectively Implement Asahi Way on the workplace through communication, trainings and implementation of tools.
5.Increase employee’s awareness of Compliance and stamp out Compliance related problems.
6.Support and develop the Plant HR Managers and their teams to achieve the objective of creating a high Employee Satisfaction and Effective workforce in China operations .
7.Work closely with the Regional HR Planning Office, located in Tokyo, regarding HR reporting and implementation of global and/or regional HR tools or programs (Job Grading, ES Survey, Trainings …)
8.Work closely with local government officials and union representatives to ensure that our systems & policies meet the related (current or established in the near future) laws & government regulations and establish close relationships with them to maximize benefits
9.Work closely with the Regional HR Planning Office to prepare and implement the assignment of expatriates in China operations and ensure the expatriates and travellers have proper working and living conditions in China.
10.Establish in all locations an outstanding enterprise culture, conforming to AGC’s corporate vision and value.
Education:
1.Bachelor degree or higher
2.HR related degree
Skills:
1.Fluent English and Mandarin. Cantonese or Japanese would be an advantage
2.Familiar with the Chinese labor-related laws and regulations
3.Cross-cultural sensitivity
4.First rate integrity and ethical standards.
5.Ability to work at a strategic level, to think from higher point of view
6.Action-oriented and task driven. Approach tasks with a sense of urgency, but capable of setting priorities among competing projects.
7.Leadership, Persuasive and articulate; an effective negotiator with excellent communication and presentation skills. Diplomat. 8.Emotionally mature and stable.
Experience requiremen:
1.Over eight years management experience in Human Resources in manufacturing field, in a foreign company. 2.Experience in a Japanese company would be an advantage
3.Experience in a Joint Venture, or state-owned company, and involved in change of culture, mindset in such company would be an advantage
Others:
1.The position will require extensive travels within locations across China during the week
