blame for = consider (somebody) responsible for (something bad), or find fault with为（某事）责怪（某人）；责备；归咎于
I blame the wet road for the accident.
我把此意外归咎于路面湿滑。

shoulder the blame/responsibility = accept the total blame/responsibility承担过错[责任]
She shouldered the blame for all that bad gone wrong that day.
她承担了那天的所有过错。
